What is Sports and Remedial Massage?

Sports injury, treatmentMassage has been used for many thousands of years as a manipulative treatment for people suffering from muscular joint and stress related problems.

Sports and Remedial massage is a deep form of soft tissue work.  It consists of a variety of techniques that help to reduce tension, lengthen tight muscles, reduce pain or restriction through various joints in your body.

Who would benefit?

Sports injury, treatmentWhether you are a sports person or an office worker Sports and Remedial Massage is of benefit to you.

Sports massage can help you achieve peak performance in your chosen sport and remain injury free, whether you are a Sunday league footballer or an elite athlete.  We can design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan with realistic and achievable goals.

Sports massage is not limited to athletes.  It is appropriate for anyone who is in the postsurgical setting or in addition to physiotherapy, osteoapathy or chiropractic in rehabilitive therapy.

For those that suffer with long term chronic conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis and back pain, remedial massage can help relieve pain and tension that are associated with these conditions.
